Security Architect
About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Security Architect to join our growing team. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing security solutions for our enterprise clients, conducting security assessments, and helping shape our platform's security capabilities.
You'll work closely with engineering teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure security is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle. This is an opportunity to have a significant impact on how organizations approach application security at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and review secure architectures for cloud-native applications and microservices
- Conduct security assessments, threat modeling, and architecture reviews for client projects
- Develop security standards, best practices, and guidelines for secure software development
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior security engineers
- Stay current with emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends
- Support compliance initiatives (GDPR, SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of our security platform features
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in information security, with at least 3 years in security architecture
- Deep understanding of security principles, threat modeling methodologies (STRIDE, PASTA, LINDDUN)
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud security best practices
- Strong knowledge of application security (OWASP Top 10, secure coding practices)
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and container security
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and security automation tools
- Strong understanding of network security, authentication, and encryption technologies
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Security certifications (CISSP, CCSP, SABSA, TOGAF, CEH, OSCP, or similar)
- Experience with API security (REST, GraphQL, gRPC)
- Knowledge of zero-trust architecture and modern authentication protocols (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML)
- Experience with security frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS Controls)
- Programming/scripting skills (Python, Go, JavaScript, or similar)
- Experience conducting penetration testing or security audits
